Roger Foxx
On March 12th a beautiful day dawned and the Atlantic calmed off the coast of Jupiter, Florida. On a boat named the Black Dog with a Captain named Tyler, Roger made his final voyage to join his son Tyler and wife Laurie in the Gulf Stream. It was the perfect tribute to an amazing man. He was accompanied by a few close friends from Jupiter while his many friends in Barrington gathered to remember and celebrate him.
Roger was the ultimate romantic. I never knew love so deep and intimacy so exquisite. He dazzled me with his knowledge of music and knew the lyrics to an unbelievable number of songs. He kept me in stitches with all of his accents, especially the Scottish. He was filled with what he called a giant cornucopia of useless information. I stopped Google checking him after three months. He wore pink tennis shoes and called himself pretty. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor that made people laugh. He thought fart jokes were hilarious. He could hold court anywhere. He knew how to engage people. He loved telling people that he was a hillbilly from Arkansas and often set himself up as the butt of jokes. Although he was a strong man, he had a tender heart.
