Mike and Kathy spent a lot of time out in the Marlborough Sounds on their boat, most of it moored up in Governors Bay which was Mike's favourite spot.
Mike was born in Christchurch to Jenny and Sid Hill where he was the youngest of three boys: William (Bill), Peter, and Michael (Mike).
Mike was the beloved husband of Kathy for 52 years, and he was a proud father to his children Nick and Monique.
Mike could make friends with anyone, always had a smile to share, and a story to tell.
He passed away peacefully on Thursday 12th February, just nine days short of his 75th birthday.
