I held his funeral at the local crem and no one wore black. My uncle asked for a photo half way through the service. There were tears and laughter and the service ended with burning ring of fire being played as we left (my dad’s choice). I took my dad’s ashes on holiday with him so he could have a holiday with me and he could have one final one. We had a great time in the carribbean before we held the service on a sea day. The sea was calm the sun was shinning on from deck 5 we had a service and I let you go and be free. I watched as you sailed away and told you to go and be free. RIP daddy
In the middle of the Caribbean Sea, I let you go. It was time for me to finally see you swim after you watched me for years. But really you will be remembered everywhere. Every time I see you turtle I will think of you.
My dad was hardworking and was a character. He would help anyone out. Unfortunately as many marriages do, his broke down and it stopped me from ever going on holiday with him. It never stopped him from turning up when I needed him though.
In his later years his eyesight left him and his health deteriorated but he still kept his cheer.
