Danny James Dahlitz lived a full and vibrant life, known by all as the life and soul of every party. His energy, humour, and generous spirit touched everyone who had the joy of knowing him.
Danny was a proud father to three sons and was blessed to find true love with Rona, with whom he gained a much-loved stepson, Peter. Together, they built a close and lively family, growing to include 11 cherished grandchildren who brought him endless joy.
A passionate member of his local village, Danny was deeply committed to volunteering and community life. You were just as likely to find him lending a hand at an event as you were to catch him tinkering in his beloved workshop — his second home and creative haven.
After an extraordinary 11-year battle with cancer, we were told that no more could be done. With great sadness, we said goodbye to Danny on Monday, January 20th, 2025.
He will be remembered always for his laughter, kindness, and unshakable spirit.
