Stephen Daniel Wilder left us on Christmas Day last year. Today, we opened his beloved studio, poured him a scotch and listened to his music while we admired the body of his artwork that spans many decades. He was with us, and I feel those he loved so dearly that preceded him in death (Bob and Helen, Mary Ann and Bill) were there also. About a 2 months ago, Steve came to me in a dream. I felt his deep desire for his ashes to be released on his property and near the space he felt most at peace which was always his studio. This was his sanctuary. At sunset yesterday, we scattered him there. Steve was a son, a brother, a husband, an uncle, a father, a teacher, a mentor, a builder, an artist, a cook, and a lover of dogs. He was an exceptional man and my emotional rock. His love for me was ever present. I loved him completely.
