Peter Charles Traynor
On the 15th of August 2022 we had a celebration of Pete's life at the local rugby league grounds, a place he spent many years playing at. 300 people turned up to honour an incredible man who touched the lives of so many people xxx
Peter was cremated with his ashes being scattered at a favourite fishing spot in Queensland and some placed in an urn with his parents at Boggabri cemetery NSW Australia
On Saturday morning, the 16th of July 2022 at age 55 Peter Traynor had a heart attack and was taken to hospital where they treated him with a clot buster medication to break up the clot in his heart before transferring him to Tamworth hospital for stents. Unfortunately Pete had a very rare reaction to the blood thinning medication used to treat the clot which caused him to have a bleed on the brain and a stroke.
He was flown to John Hunter hospital in Newcastle and was operated on twice by a neuro surgeon to release the swelling and bleeding in the brain and he was placed in an induced coma. He sustained substantial brain damage from the bleed. 12 days later they turned off all the sedatives that were keeping him in the coma in an attempt to wake him up and assess the damage done to his brain.
We were warned very early on that the damage done could mean he may not wake up at all or if he did it would be with very little brain activity.
It is with a broken heart that I say this has been the case. We had to make the devastating decision as a family to turn off life support and let him go.
My gorgeous loving caring husband passed away on the 4th of August 2022 ???????????????? Peter was an adored husband, father, brother, son, uncle, nephew, cousin and mate to many xxx
