We had a quiet service on 20th June at Mason Hill Crematorium in Ayr, Scotland. Dad's coffin was draped with the ensign kindly provided by the Veterans Bereavement Support UK.
Elaine and Paula scattered Dad's ashes on 28th June 2023 at Cow rock Girvan this would have been his 87th birthday.
We piped the still and followed with the order of service for the Committal of Ashes to the sea. We committed his ashes with flower petals and the pipes playing Highland Cathedral .
Paul was born 28th June 1936 in Chester, England. He served in the Royal Navy as a young man. He married Elizabeth in 1957 and they have two daughters Elaine and Paula and two grandchildren Mari and Kevin. Paul died on 21st May 2023 age 86yrs after a short illness at Ainslie Manor Nursing home in Girvan, Scotland.
