Tim passed away January 8, 2021 from injuries suffered in a tragic accident in Ventura, California. Born in Durham, North Carolina; he was adopted at three months by Elliott and Dori Carroll making this their second happiest day.
He will be missed by his family, friends and associates for his humble, calming and enthusiastic nature. Tim was known in his earlier years as a good natured and happy son, great friend, “general” of the neighborhood skateboarding enthusiasts, protective and adventurous brother, and a surfer. He graduated from Humboldt State University with a B.A. in Liberal Studies with emphasis in Recreational Management. After leaving college he moved to Santa Cruz, CA, dedicated his life to Jehovah, and started a career in assisting others to learn about Jehovah’s promise of restoring mankind to enjoy life on earth forever in paradise. He married the former Robin Forshey in 1986 and they enjoyed traveling in their missionary work to Micronesia and Dominican Republic. Their daughter, Sandy, was born in 1997. Later years were spent in the preaching/teaching work while enjoying hiking and camping with his family and friends as well as surfing various breaks along the California and Oregon coasts. He was a loving, humble husband and compassionate, adventurous father. He enjoyed meeting people and talking with friends about surfing and other adventures. Tim could start a conversation with anyone and make them feel like the most important person in the room.
Tim is survived by his wife, Robin Carroll; daughter, Sandra Carroll; sister, Jane Carroll; niece, Cynthia Carroll with her children Tara and Nick; mother-in-law, Linda Luevano; Aunts Lucy Carroll and Marjory Grune and many cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, M. Elliott and Dorothy G. Carroll; brother, Frederick G. Carroll; and birth mother, C. Elaine Gregory.
