Our beloved mother was born Maria Antonia Medrano, in El Paso, Texas on April 20, 1925 and left us November 20, 2024 at the age of 99 years. Mom had a total of nine children by the age of thirty two. What stood out most was her very loving and caring heart. Mom had little or no formal education, nevertheless, mom encouraged us to pursue our interest and not be like her. I personally learned more from her of life experience than I would have in school. Her faith in us was unshakeable, and it gave us the courage to keep trying and reaching for our dreams. Mom’s love extended beyond our family. She had a way to making everyone feel welcome to our home, Friends, neighbors , even strangers. Last words to me were, “Take care of each other and visit your cousins.”
As we say goodbye to Mom let’s remember how much love she had in her heart. Her legacy will live on through
your ways of continuing her way of expressing love towards others.
Mom, you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten . Your love, your smile, your laughter, your faith and spirit will forever be a part of us. Your love will continue to guide us. We love you, always and forever.
God has taken you home.
