Joanne Johnston
Joanne was remembered with a private ceremony in Smithton, where Claire Anne Taylor’s music filled the air and cowrie shells adorned each chair. Family and friends took their shell home as a lasting memory of Joanne’s life.
A large number of people who touched Joanne’s life, gathered at the Rocky Cape tavern to share their memories and cry tears of mourning for the loss of someone so special.
Joanne will be remembered on the beach of Crayfish Creek, where her childhood years were spent and her final forever home was created.
Joanne was a lover of life. She had an adventurous spirit; walking bare foot across beach after beach, breathing in Mother Nature.
Joanne’s generosity and compassion was contagious. She collected valuable friendships from far and wide.
Joanne was a collector, fossicking tide’s treasures, seeking the perfect shell to create memorable pieces.
She was loved by all and will be truly missed.
Now forever resting, free to travel on the ebb and flow of the ocean.
