Fiona Kirby
My mam Fiona spent a lot of time travelling through Australia in 1995 and always dreamed of returning, to celebrate mams life I brought her cremains for a 8 week road trip doing a lap of her favourite places in Australia in a Toyota hiace, the same type of van mam and dad used during their road trip in Australia. At the end of the road trip I brought mams cremains to her main favourite place in Australia - Uluru, to be scattered.
My mam and dad climbed to the top of uluru in 1995, and as it is no longer allowed to climbed, I completed a walk around the base of uluru during sunrise and scattered mams ashes in a beautiful and quiet part of the park where birds sing and chirp all morning.
At uluru, in the Northern Territory of Australia
My mam was beautiful inside and out, she had bright green eyes and long blonde curly hair, she loved reading books in the sunshine and walking our dog sheeba together. My mam was a very spiritual lady and everyday she made sure she wore her crystal necklace with a turquoise stone for protection and healing and our matching thumb rings.
Fiona was a caring, thoughtful, nurturing and brave soul who shared love and kindness to all people and animals she crossed paths with.
I miss and love her so much more than words can say and although she is gone way too early I truly hope she is happy and at rest reunited with her son darragh and her sister maggie.
I will think of you and our memories with love everyday forever.
