A family gathering
Cocoa Beach, Florida
We gather today to remember and celebrate the life of a man who learned early about the spirit of adventure and curiosity. Quentin Morgan was born into a family that eventually lived on the ARAMCO Oil compound in Saudi Arabia, As a teenager, he took to the skies, flying in planes to photograph the sweeping landscapes of the desert, capturing the landscapes for the Oil industry. He even learned basic Farsi, bridging cultures with a desire to understand those around him.
It was in Saudi Arabia that he met Diane, the love who would first make him a husband and a father. Together, they moved to California and started a family, welcoming Christina and Gregory into their lives. Through every stage, it was his sharp, sly sense of humor that defined him — a gift that brought joy and laughter to friends, family, and anyone fortunate enough to spend time in his company.
He carried with him a deep love of the outdoors. He felt most alive on the water or under the stars, kayaking, boating, camping, hunting, and fishing. Nights around a campfire were his sanctuary, a place where stories flowed as easily as laughter.
In midlife, he married Linda, his steadfast companion and the love who stood by his side for the rest of his days. With Linda, he welcomed Michelle into his heart as a stepdaughter, and he delighted in his role as a grandfather to Jordan.
He was a man of endless curiosity, a lifelong learner who filled shelves with books and sought out audiobooks on every subject imaginable. His passion for new hobbies kept him ever young at heart, even if he sometimes moved on to the next interest before the first had faded.
His warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit leave a lasting legacy in those who knew and loved him. Today, as we remember him, we celebrate a life lived fully — a man who made the world brighter with his laughter and richer with his boundless love of learning and the great outdoors.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory continue to bring us comfort and smiles.
