Chhagan Patel
We celebrate his life by remembering what he stood for: simplicity, creativity, positivity, empathy and a desire for continuous learning.
His ashes were scattered in the holy river Ganges in Varanasi on Monday the 27th May 2024, Lord Shivas day, whilst praying for him in the Kashi Vishwanath temple. The following day, a Rudrashtakam ceremony was completed for him in Varanasi.
His life and spirit will continue to be remembered forever, in particular, his birthday, Father’s Day, and a yearly tribute symbolising what he stood for.

Chhagan was the best father, he took care of everyone and offered unconditional love and support throughout his entire life. He migrated from India to the UK when he was 8 years old, and cherished his journey from childhood to adulthood in the form of education and work. He made his own path in electronic engineering and figured out his career on his own. He was smart, intelligent and creative when it came to work, always with a desire to learn and study into perpetuity which kept him going. He was always interested in others work, life and gave a positive outlook on every situation. He was the strength and ultimate guardian for the family, willing to sacrifice anything, including himself, for us. Dad had no desire for materialism, selfishness, greed or jealousy, he was very peaceful and content with his simple way of life and had a heart of gold.
