Martin made 4 requests for his funeral cheap(??), cheerful, no flowers and nobody to wear black. As a lover of Tina Turner and Queen we had two songs that reflected that. ‘Simply the Best’ ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ and ‘ Another One Bites the Dust’ we had donations in lieu of flowers and that was sent to The British Heart Foundation and Eastwood Foodbank
Martins ashes were scattered at Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire. A place he loved including Whitby
Martin died suddenly at the age of 69 from a heart attack. During the last few years he didn’t enjoy the best of health that curtailed some things, like biking and repairing cars which were his passion. We were married 47 years and had known each other for over 50 years.
