Jack was a kitten that my late husband Daniel picked out. He had taken a laser light and said whatever kitten chases after the light I will bring home. Will, Dasher, as he was called at the Animal Shelter, chased after that light. Daniel brought him home and renamed him Jack. I added Baby and Squeaker cause he was so tiny and his meow was just a squeak as he got older. Jack lived in Waterflow, NM for six years. He was a country cat and loved to be outdoors all day. He wasn’t a people cat. Always ran and hid whenever we had company. In 2021 I moved to ABQ, NM bringing Jack with me. He lived here with me for five and a half years as an indoor city cat. No more roaming or hunting. He had to adjust to new, noisy surroundings and my grandchildren and sons whenever they would come over. He would hide under my bed when visitors or repairman would come in. Late 2025 he just loved having my oldest son here, he would hear his voice and come running to get pets from him. He grew to love the kids and all the attention they gave him.
