Olwena "Olly" Slight
Late of Hervey Bay, formerly of Toowoomba and Corinda,
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday 5th July 2025, aged 93 years.
Loving wife of Alex (Dec'd).
Dearly loved Mother and Mother-in-law of
Wayne and Jenni, Sandee and Mal, Rhelma and Glen.
Unquietly loving Grandmother to eight children and proud and adoring
grandmother to eight children.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a
farewell service for Olly, to be held at the T.S. Burstow
Chapel,1020 Ruthven Street (south), Toowoomba, service
commencing at 9:30am Tuesday, 15th July 2025.

Olwena is resting in the Oxley Memorial Park where the WW1 monument is surrounded by Rosemary plants, and her uncle Richard Price is listed on the top right-hand side of the facing plaque.
A short distance down the road is Price Street, named in honor of one of Oxley's sons, Richard Price, a fitting resting place for Olwena who was born in her parents (William & Freda Price) house at 90 Station Road Oxley. The house has sense been removed to Chelma.

We gather here today to celebrate and give thanks to the life of Olwena (Olly) Slight “nee Price” who was born in Oxley, Queensland, Australia, in 1932.
Olly married her beloved husband Alex in November 1955, and had 3 very much-loved children Rhelma, Wayne and Sandra. Alex passed away in the year 2000 so Olly spent her last years on her own until 2020 when Wayne and his wife Jennifer retired and mover Olly into their home at Moggill in Brisbane. In 2021, they, as a family, moved to Hervey Bay in Queensland to enjoy the Coastal Town and full retirement with Olly.
Olly now has 2 Son In-Laws, 1 Daughter In-Law, 8 beautiful Grand Children and 8 Great Grand Children which she loved dearly, in her own unique way. Despite some falls and knocks, Olly enjoyed visits and outings around Hervey Bay with Wayne & Jennifer and the love between them was clear to see and felt, with many laughs and solid good times had.
Olly passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday 5th July 2025 at 4:00 PM.
She was 93 years of age and will be sadly missed and forever loved!
