Fond memories were shared by the many friends & family at St Andrews Golf club in the afternoon.

The Pebbles, Cold Knap beach, sent out with the waves, now at peace
Lainey was born in the front room of 39 Devon Ave, Barry, another girl (3 sisters before her Gillian, Fay & Janet) for Peggy & William Boobier.
Attending Gladstone Primary, followed by Barry Girls grammar school. She met Richard (Dicky) at an it’s a knockout competition at Cardiff Castle and we’re married a few years later at St Mary’s Church.
She had several secretarial roles, but found her true calling working at a local school for Special Needs children for 30+ years.
She had a deep love for sport, including being a brown belt at Judo, but found her real love for hockey and playing for Barry Ladies until her mid 50s.
Music was another love, particularly Tamla Motown and Stevie Wonder her ultimate favourite.
She enjoyed family times with her Nicola & Nigel, then loved being Nannie to Elli Mair, Harley & Lacey.
She loved the local beauty on her doorstep, Porthkerry, the miles of scenic coastland of Barry & Vale of Glamorgan but we so many special times at the Pebble beach, Cold Knap walks, beach days and particularly every summer at the outdoor pool Bathes, where we had a chalet.
She passed away suddenly at the Waverley Care home Penarth after 6 difficult years of living with Dementia.
Forever missed and loved Wife, Mum, Nan, Sister and friend xxx
